A PLS-SEM Analysis of Trust, Commitment, and Organizational Performance in Third-Party Logistics Partnerships from the Perspective of Customer Firms, Noh, Gyeongsu · Shin, Jaeik · Park, Minyeong
This study investigates the relationships among operational factors, resource-related factors, service quality factors, information system factors, trust, commitment, and performance in the context of third-party logistics partnerships. Data were collected from 152 respondents who had experience trading with small and medium-sized third-party logistics firms. The proposed hypotheses were tested using the PLS-SEM structural model approach. The results showed that resource-related factors and service quality factors had positive effects on trust, whereas operational factors and information system factors did not significantly influence trust. Trust was found to positively affect both commitment and performance, and commitment also had a significant positive effect on performance. In addition, resource-related factors and service quality factors indirectly influenced commitment and performance through trust, while the indirect effects of operational factors and information system factors were not significant. These findings suggest that resource capabilities and service quality are important drivers of trust formation and long-term performance in third-party logistics partnerships. The study provides practical implications for strengthening relationship quality and organizational performance in the logistics industry.
